Rivertown Folk and Alamosa Colorado Live Music Experience

Featuring performances inspired by San Luis valley music and Alamosa concerts

This Friday, February 27, at 7 p.m., Society Hall in Alamosa will host a special concert featuring Rivertown Folk, a beloved duo from Creede. The event aims to support Beth Morris and Janet Reynolds, who lost their home and belongings in a devastating fire on Christmas night. Donation buckets will be available during the show to assist them in rebuilding their lives.

Rivertown Folk has been captivating audiences throughout the San Luis Valley for several years, performing at festivals, events, and celebrations, and garnering a dedicated fan base. Their music embodies the spirit of the region, blending folk traditions with heartfelt storytelling. Joining them on stage will be their guitarist friend, Rod Meecham, adding depth to their soulful melodies.

Opening the evening is Jenni Mansfield Peal, a versatile songwriter and performer known for her skills on guitar, accordion, and dulcimer. Her impressive career includes performances at the Queens University Festival in Belfast and the Kerrville Folk Festival, as well as multiple independent albums. Peal's rich musical background promises to set a compelling tone for the night.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $20 and can be purchased at the Green Spot in Alamosa or online. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the performance commencing at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats and participate in supporting a cherished part of the local music community.

For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be streamed live on Society Hall's Facebook page and YouTube channel, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience this heartfelt event.

Don't miss this chance to enjoy an evening of exceptional music while contributing to a meaningful cause. Join the community in celebrating and supporting Rivertown Folk and the enduring spirit of San Luis Valley music.
