Cobblestone Hotel Nears the Finish Line in Monte Vista

The new Cobblestone Hotel & Suites – MainStreet in Monte Vista continues to make visible progress as construction enters what appears to be its final phase.

Since our last update, the hotel's permanent signage has been installed, the exterior stonework and stucco are complete, and the covered front entrance has taken shape. Perhaps the most noticeable recent milestone is the completion of much of the concrete work for the entrance drive and parking areas, giving the property a much more finished appearance.

Heavy equipment remains on site as crews continue grading, preparing landscaping areas, and completing the remaining exterior improvements before the construction fencing can come down.

When it opens, the four-story, 62-room hotel is expected to provide additional lodging for visitors, business travelers, and guests attending events throughout the San Luis Valley. Amenities are expected to include an indoor pool, fitness center, meeting room, lounge, convenience store, and complimentary breakfast.

While no official opening date has been announced, the steady progress suggests the project is entering its final stretch. The San Luis Valley Beat will continue to follow construction and keep readers updated as the hotel moves closer to welcoming its first guests.
