Alamosa's Own Aspen Quirico Shines on Super Bowl LX Stage

From San Luis Valley Roots to the National Spotlight

Aspen Quirico, a native of Alamosa, Colorado, captivated millions as she performed alongside Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl LX halftime show.

Her journey began at age six when a visiting fiddler introduced her to the violin at her school in the San Luis Valley.

Embracing her heritage, she played with mariachi bands in San Luis, Colorado, before moving to Los Angeles a decade ago to pursue her musical dreams.

In LA, Aspen's innovative violin covers on TikTok, especially those tagging Mexican artist Peso Pluma, went viral, leading to a tour opportunity.

This exposure opened doors, culminating in her Super Bowl performance.

Reflecting on the experience, Aspen shared, "I felt like I was fighting for peace, fighting for love, and it's just something that I felt proud of."

Despite her LA base, Aspen frequently returns to Alamosa and plans to visit family in southern Colorado next week to celebrate her Super Bowl appearance.

Her story is a testament to the rich cultural tapestry of the San Luis Valley and the boundless possibilities that arise from passion and perseverance.
