Adams State Faculty Are Having a Moment |
The Valley Should Be Proud! |

It's been a quietly remarkable July for a handful of Adams State University faculty, and it's the kind of good news that deserves a spot in this newsletter.
Nursing professor Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade was named recipient of a Clinical Leadership Award from CSU Pueblo's School of Nursing, recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.
Kinesiology professor Dr. Sara Erdner landed a $2,200 research grant from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and a spot in the organization's competitive national leadership program.
And Dr. Paul Formisano, director of Adams State's Salazar Rio Grande del Norte Center, spent early July out in the field — presenting at Colorado College's Baca Campus and helping organize a conservation gathering held at former Senator and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's own ranch.
None of these are national headlines. But grants, leadership recognition, and Valley-rooted fieldwork all in one month? That's a small university punching well above its weight.
