Progressive Acoustic String Band Brings Unique Sound to San Luis Valley |
Music enthusiasts in the San Luis Valley are in for a treat as High Horse, a progressive acoustic string band, is set to perform at Society Hall in Alamosa on February 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Comprised of four talented musicians—fiddler Carson McHaney, cellist Karl Henry, guitarist and banjoist G Rockwell, and bassist Noah Harrington—High Horse blends elements of Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Celtic music with the energy of alternative rock.
The band members, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, bring diverse musical backgrounds to their performances, showcasing original compositions and interpretations of traditional folk tunes.
Their collective education from prestigious institutions such as the Berklee College of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, and the New England Conservatory has honed their technical skills and creative vision, resulting in a captivating fusion of genres.
Tickets for the event are priced at $20 and can be purchased online or at The Green Spot, located at 711 State Avenue in Alamosa.
Doors will open at 6:00 PM, with the performance beginning at 7:00 PM.
